I started my career in 2018 by following the basic education to become a street officer at PIVO, Vlaams-Brabant, where I graduated on the 31st of May 2019. My first station was the traffic support team region Centrum in the Antwerp Police Department, where I was responsible for local traffic controls, and issues regarding traffic.

After a year, I wanted to try on another function, and applied and got accepted into the traffic intervention squad, which is a part of the emergency department in Antwerp. Here I was responsible for urgent traffic situations, where I learned how to handle people who had been waiting quite some time after they called due to the busy nature of the service.

Finally, I applied to the traffic support team region West, where I learned a lot about driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, as well as cooperations with the prostitution teams and drugteams in Antwerp.

I graduated as officer in September 2024, and started my career as a detective in the local investigation team in the Rupel region, where I am working on cases regarding drugs and cybercrime.
